Empowerment Professional Network

EPN has been launched recently to further the reach and influence of black economic empowerment measurement within South Africa.

Our initiative includes offering of training programmes which have wide applications in the work place, but the core of our initiative is to partner with auditors and accountants who are interested in offering their clients a BEE verification service.

Seen as the obvious choice for our business partners, by virtue of the nature of their industry, these financial professionals already have the expertise to understand the rating calculations and scoring process. Together with the verification of client’s financial information, this provides the basis for the categories of ratings available. Holders of the analyst certificate (CEAn) will be qualified to do QSE BEE verifications in conjunction with Empowerdex, resulting in a new revenue stream for their business.

Successful completion of the training programmes on offer from EPN which includes a full evaluation of understanding, methodology, and required competency, will result in the issuing of a certified qualification in each case.

BEE & Transformation training programmes on offer by:

CET - “The Certified Empowerment Technician™” –

is the first tier of training which covers the history and development of broad-based black economic empowerment and its affect in the South African context.

This programme also demystifies the Codes of Good Practice and gives a comprehensive overview of the 7 elements of BEE as identified by the Department of Trade & industry.

This programme will need to be completed by those wanting to continue to the level of Certified Empowerment Advisor, or Certified Empowerment Analyst.

The CET qualification is applicable to those who are involved in either the annual BEE rating or strategy building for their organisations.

CEAd - “The Certified Empowerment Advisor™” –

is a second tier of training, which is more advanced, and covers the full verification process as well as strategic development and designing of BEE initiatives.

The CEAd qualification is applicable to those who are in (or aspire to be in) managerial positions within BEE & Transformation divisions, as well as individuals who would like to take on a consulting role for clients. Consultants can also offer collation services to their clients.

CEAn - “The Certified Empowerment Analyst™” –

Is a second tier of learning, and is primarily offered to auditors, accountants and other professional service providers, who are interested in partnering with us in offering their QSE clients a BEE verification service.
